About Me

cropped-Tyner-Karen-hi-res-cropped-headshot.jpgI’m a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a co-worker. By trade I’m an attorney, a writer and a speaker, but by His grace, I’m a child of God.

For years I lived with perfectionism, anxiety, independence, and fears. I had no joy or peace in my life during those days. Then I met Jesus Christ on my back porch one October afternoon. And He took me in despite my defects, past hurts, and bad habits. I can still feel the absolute peace of that very moment–it was both whisper soft and boldly strong.

I believe God wants us to experience joy right down to our core. Yes, even during the days when life is messy and out of control, when we just want to hide under the covers where it is cozy and comfortable.

Here I write about how God was and is with me during my struggles as both a non-believer and a believer, and how God brings His Word to life during our daily lives.  For Corrie Ten Boom, God used fleas to show His love.  For me, God uses onions since He knows I have multiple layers to shed to find the joy.

Jesus is my Joy.  My prayer is that He becomes your joy, too.

Blessings,

Karen
